What is a Multidisciplinary Care Team?

A multidisciplinary care team is a group of healthcare professionals from different specialties who work together to provide comprehensive care for a patient.

For example, a cancer patient may have a multidisciplinary care team that includes an oncologist, a surgeon, a radiation therapist, a social worker, and a nurse.
